So my quest began with myself. A selfish start I know, but then again who knows us best, but ourselves. My first idea was what area was weighing me down the most. I knew immediately what that was and went to work on resolving that negative energy from my personal space. Relationships aren’t always easy and when it comes to a family member, it can be very difficult to remove yourself completely. There are family gatherings, holidays and events that, let’s face it, we are going to bump into each other. I didn’t want to put myself in a position of battle, so I simply avoided the contact. If they were at a family gathering, I was cordial, and moved on to enjoy my time with others.
You have to make a choice to live happier, or in conflict. I know life is too short to live in that space, so I choose to be here, right where I am. My little happy place of thoughts, wishes, and healing. It’s pretty amazing how liberating that feels, when you allow your thoughts and beliefs to matter, it truly makes a difference in who you are.
That was my start for the new year, nothing flashy, no grand standing, just a commitment to myself, to be a better me. Happy New Year Mom’s!
