by Leave a Comment

New Hampshire Financial AssistanceSingle moms with dependent children can receive cash assistance from the Financial Assistance for Needy Families Program (FANF) through either of these programs:

  • the New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP)
  • the Unemployed Parent Program, the Family Assistance Program (FAP)
  • the Interim Disabled Parent program. This applies to children lacking parental support or care due to continued absence or death of a parent, or because one or both parents in a two- parent home are unemployed, disabled or working less than 100 hours a month. These conditions qualify for the benefits offered by this program.

Children of FANF eligible families are eligible for Healthy Kids Gold medical coverage

Parents of families eligible for FANF cash assistance are also eligible for Medicaid.

Single moms eligible for FANF, who do not live in government subsidized housing are also eligible for Emergency assistance that can help them get and keep safe and secure housing.
