An Exercise Plan for Single Moms with No Time

An Exercise PlanSingle mothers never have time, and if you are a working mother then free time is unheard of. To make matters worse in juggling our job, kids and homes we tend to completely forget about our personal health and this often spells trouble in more ways than one.

A personal diet and exercise plan is a must for busy mothers. Remember that it is only when you are healthy and fit that you will be able to take care of your family to the best of your abilities. While the diet aspect is easy to organize and control, the real trouble comes in the exercise department for here one needs a considerable amount of time and effort. This is where most ladies will give up an exercise plan altogether. However, there are certain exercise routines that will help you to exercise even if you are short on free time.

Below are some exercise plans for mothers who seem to have no time on their hands.

  • Push yourself physically – If you have no time to exercise, make everything into an exercise. Take the stairs instead of the elevator; opt for a manual chopper or lawn mower for that matter. If possible walk to work and get in as much play as possible with the kids. An increased level of physical activity will make a difference no doubt and give your metabolism that much required push.
  • Exercise and work – Mothers are great at multi- tasking and with just some more planning they can add exercising to their multi-tasking abilities. Small things like using the elliptical and helping the kids do their homework, tying weight to your legs and doing the household chores, skipping while waiting for the chicken to cook in the microwave. These are very doable tips that can help you to cover a good 40 minute exercise schedule and also not have to ignore a chore of yours. Following these simple exercises about 5times a week is also good enough.
  • Home videos – Most mothers will complain that they find it difficult to go to the gym due to the time schedule or the drive to the gym and so on and so forth. The answer here home exercise plans. There are several home exercise videos available that you can use. Right from the early hours of the morning to the late hours of the night, you can follow these videos at any given time. The exercise is great to make you feel healthier and you don’t have to bother with travel time or even sticking to a particular time schedule.

Exercise helps to increase the level of endorphins in your body, and also fights diseases like cancer, cholesterol, heart ailments and many similar issues. The benefits of exercise go way beyond just losing weight and looking good. So do not underestimate the power of a good exercise routine and adopt one irrespective of the time that you have on your hands.
