Limit the number of “great” jobs you apply for! Use your energy to write a specifically target resume before sending it in. Map your actual qualifications and skills to the job description and required skills. It is also very important to highlight the employment history, which is most relevant to the job that you apply for. Do not lie, do not exaggerate. Be as accurate as possible.
Then make sure you write a personalized cover letters. If possible, address the cover letter to the name of the person receiving your cover letter and resume. Try to find the name of the recruiter, human resource manager, etc. Most of recruiters disregard resumes if the cover letter is ambiguous and imprecise.
Before you send the resume and cover letter, make sure that your resume and cover letter are grammatical correct.
Most of candidates bring a business card or a copy of their resume to an interview. Be a stand-out applicant; bring a portfolio folder that includes your cover letter, resume, recommendations. This will make a difference, for sure!
And do not be late to the interview.
