Saving and Planning

Michigan Education Trust (MET)
The Michigan Education Trust (MET), Michigan’s guaranteed tuition program, allows parents, grandparents, or others to purchase future college tuition at today’s rates. With MET you avoid rising tuition rates, which are expected to more than double over the next 10 years. Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP)
The Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) is a savings/investment program designed to assist families with preparing for higher education expenses. A child’s parents or others can open an account for the child/beneficiary. The MESP account then can grow through regular contributions and investment growth. Planning for College
College costs have increased over the last ten years; however, options are still available. Planning ahead will provide the most benefits.

Scholarships and Grants

The goal of the Student Scholarships and Grants (SSG) is to help students pay for college and provide a “one-stop-shop” for the administration of Michigan’s scholarships and grants programs.

The state of Michigan has been providing scholarships and grants to Michigan students since 1964 and has helped over three million students with roughly $4 billion in financial assistance to achieve their higher educational goals.

Eligibility

MI Scholarship Online helping students attend Michigan colleges through the state’s Competitive Scholarship, Tuition Grant and Post Secondary Access Student Scholarship (PASS) programs.

Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)

High school completion program that offers to pay for the first two years of college and beyond for identified students who graduate or complete their GED before age 20.
