The Acid
Alkaline Balance Diet
An
Innovative Program for Ridding Your Body of Acidic
Wastes
By Felicia Drury Kliment

Sources by Amanda Bach
Book Description
Balancing the body's acid
alkaline pH factor to improve
health is the hot new treatment
in alternative medicine. The
Acid Alkaline Balance Diet
clarifies for you this
cutting-edge option with an
easy-to-follow food combination
program and herbal therapy
regime that redefines the notion
of a "well-balanced diet." By
balancing the body's acidity
levels, this simple plan can
help toward curing various
medical conditions, including
arthritis, hepatitis, insomnia,
alcoholism, and kidney disease.
With information organized by
affliction, you can quickly find
the help you need. Anecdotal
success stories offer inspiring
evidence that this
dietary/lifestyle change really
works.
Modern agriculture and food-preservation methods
have done serious damage to the human diet. The
detrimental effects on the human body caused by
acidic wastes from processed food and chemical
additives are myriad. By-products of the foods we
eat, acidic wastes are the common denominator in all
degenerative diseases. When acidic wastes
accumulate, they can cause organs to malfunction and
break down. Balancing the body's acid-alkaline pH
factor is a dynamic way to improve health. The
Acid-Alkaline Balance Diet explores this exciting
new treatment in alternative medicine.
Based on Eastern medicinal practices, The
Acid-Alkaline Balance Diet advocates a
sensible
food-combination program in conjunction with herbal
medicine therapies to balance the positively charged
acidic particles in the body with the negatively
charged particles. This simple plan can aid in
curing a wide range of medical problems including:
arthritis, insomnia, alcoholism, lung disorders,
kidney disease and much more.
Organized by medical condition, this book makes it
easy to quickly find the help and advice you need.
There's also a practical test you can administer to
help determine your metabolic type: grain eating,
meat eating, or balanced.
Forget the traditional notions
of a well-balanced diet; for
many, this well-balanced diet is
the cause of various illnesses.
Here at last are alternatives
for those who have used the
"four food groups" strategy of
nutrition but still ended up
with health problems. Discover
how The Acid-Alkaline Balance
Diet will help you lead a
healthier, longer life.

About Author:
Felicia Drury Kliment is a nutritional consultant
in private practice and the author of the acclaimed book
The
Acid-Alkaline Balance Diet. Visit her website at

In her early years as a
classroom teacher in the public schools in New York City, Felicia
Drury Kliment was determined to find the cause of the three
disorders that plague the inner city school child: obesity, learning
disabilities and behavioral disorders. The cause of all three, according
to a research study she conducted with a colleague at City College, was
diet. Since that time Kliment has focused her research, writing, and
consulting practice on customizing diet for individuals of all ages and
walks of life.
Kliment has been widely
published, including articles in academic journals during her tenure at
City College. Among them are: Beyond Psychoanalysis: The Case for
Nutritional Remedies for the Learning Disabled and Emotionally Disturbed,
The Clearing House; Linking School-Based Diet with Behavior
Disorders, Using Nutrients to Improve Brain Function in the
Mentally Retarded, Thyroid and Health: A Fresh Perspective
on the Consequences of Low Thyroid Function, Price-Pottenger
Nutrition Foundation Nutrition Journal; Using Nutrition,
Exercise, and Air to Heal the Lungs, New Living. Kliment was
also a nutritional columnist for The Amsterdam News, the most
prominent black newspaper in the New York area. She is the author of
The Acid Alkaline Balance Diet published by McGraw-Hill/Contemporary
in 2002.
Kliment did research on how
the philosophy of yin (acid) and yang (alkaline) became the basis of
Chinese medicine. The results were incorporated in a series of papers
published in the International Journal of Comparative Religion and
Philosophy. |
