A daughter broke-up with her boyfriend. She asked her Mother's advice about returning the gifts he'd given her. Without a pause, her Mother replied, "Send back the stuffed animals and letters, but keep the jewelry for sentimental reasons."

Principles of Motherhood

Motherhood - If it was going to be easy, it never would have started with something called labor!
An alarm clock is a device for awakening people who don't have small children.
Money isn't everything, but it sure keeps the kids in touch.
Avenge yourself - Live long enough to be a problem to your children.
Life's golden age is when the kids are too old to need baby-sitters and too young to borrow the family car.

Mom Would Never Say

Yeah, I used to skip school a lot, too.
Just leave all the lights on ... it makes the house look more cheery.

Well, if Timmy's mom says it's OK, that's good enough for me.

More Mothers' Jokes

Of MOTHER and DAUGHTER:
One day, a little girl is sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly notices that her mother has several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to her brunette hair.
She looks at her mother and inquisitively asks, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"
Her mother replied "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then asked, "Momma, how come all of grandma's hairs are white?"

Mother's Love

Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them:
I loved you enough to ask where you are going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a jerk.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh, they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it..
